I took it to Babelfish, and translated the Dutch to terrible English. Here’s what it came up with… not necessarily more readable, though!
“Or other brilliant American have Sunday help me Pay For My Wedding produced. The idea is: she has been asked at marriage, wants gladly marry, but has no money for a talent wedding. Thus she asks if would want everyone whom that reads dollar perhaps 1 concerning make. As enough people that do then touches it, however. Nou, I give a chance her, within 24 hours 1000 people had its site visited and the news goes as a current vuurtje by means of all weddingblogs. A heap people calls its spoilt and ridiculous that she dares ask it, and sits there perhaps what, but I must admit: however, tof experimenting. And she sure has some balls!”

Alright, I just read your whole blog and I’m pretty much in love with you. I have not donated yet, but I will after my own wedding a month from today (gotta save every damn penny until then).
Some thoughts for you, since I did my 200+ guest wedding for under 20k: you’re totes right to nix the giant flower centerpieces. Those are such a money-pit, and you can do gorgeous decor with just candles and glass vases that you get at the dollar store. Observe: http://ikeahacker.blogspot.com/2007/09/cant-afford-wedding-centerpiece-hack.html
Additionally, I know you were anti-omelette bar, but we’re actually serving breakfast for dinner at our wedding (which is at one of the nicest hotels in Seattle) and it’s about half the cost of their dinner menu. Even if you don’t do this, you could request to see your caterer’s breakfast or lunch menus and choose a couple of time-neutral options (savory crepes, for example, or panini sandwiches). They’re allllways cheaper.
You mentioned earlier that a couple of vendors have offered to do your wedding for free – even if they’re out of state, you could pay for their plane tickets and lodging. Flying a photographer out to your city and paying for his/her hotel room for two nights would cost wayyyyy less than the $3000 price-tag you’ll end up paying someone local.
Anyway. Those are my (bossy) thoughts. I’ve got tons more where that came from, if you’re interested! 🙂

Wiggs, you’re fantastic. Those centerpieces are A-MA-ZING. And I would LOVE more suggestions. Email me – firstname.lastname@example.org – I need all the help I can get. I’m definitely anti-omelette bar, but panini sounds nice. Definitely will ask about this stuff when I visit places this weekend. 200+ guests for under 20k!? SCHOOL ME. PLEASE!
I’m going to scour your blog now. Thanks for loving me – you’re my new favorite reader. And congrats on your wedding!!!! Will you be posting pics after??
